OUR TEAM

Alex Mihos
Kings-Co-owner & Head Coach
Alex Mihos grew up in Chester Springs, PA, inspired by his parents, Ari and Sabrina Mihos. A lifelong baseball player, Alex played for Glenmoore Eagle Little League, Coventry Little League, the Norchester Bulldogs, and later the PA Playmakers under Coach Nick McLaughlin, who helped transition him into a hard-throwing right-handed pitcher. Alex went on to pitch at Widener University, earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish.
Alex began coaching during college alongside Coach Nick, spending four years with the Playmakers before stepping into his role with Malvern Kings Travel Baseball. He continues to play competitively for the Towamencin Bats and has pursued opportunities at the professional level, including a tryout with the Lancaster Barnstormers.
Known for his player-focused approach, Alex is passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. His coaching emphasizes safe player development, baseball IQ, and honest guidance through the recruiting and showcase process. He credits much of his growth and success to the many coaches and mentors throughout his career, especially Coach Nick, whom he considers family.
Alex also takes great pride in his younger brothers, Dean and Theo Mihos. Dean helped lead Coastal Carolina University to Omaha during the 2025 College World Series run, while Theo represented Glenmoore, PA in the Little League World Series. Watching their success has been one of Alex’s greatest blessings.
Fluent in English, Greek, and Spanish, Alex believes in hard work, family, faith, and giving young players the opportunities to achieve dreams bigger than his own. One of his favorite quotes is: “I’d walk through hell in a gasoline suit to play baseball.” — Pete Rose

Spencer Schumacher is from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and grew up playing locally for Chester Valley Little League in Malvern. His passion for baseball and coaching began early, starting his coaching journey at just 11 years old while assisting with a 7U softball team and coaching 8U baseball. From that point on, he quickly formed a love for player development, leadership, and the strategic side of coaching both on and off the field. He quickly shifted his focus to working with Middle School and High School level players and established a well respected reputation as a coach in the community.
Spencer attended Kutztown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with Honors along with a minor in Coaching and Athletic Administration. During his time at Kutztown, he authored a Capstone project titled The Study of Coaching Philosophy in Practice, focusing on the strategic art of coaching and effective leadership in athletics. He also completed an additional project centered on baseball drill design, strategic player development, and the optimal structure and operation of travel, recreational, and school baseball programs.
While completing his studies, Spencer obtained national accreditation through ASEP, earning certification in coaching principles and sport first aid. This also lead to him joining the National Coaches Registry. Upon graduation he was inducted into Chi Sigma Mu as a reflection of his work and dedication in the field of Sport Management.
On the field, Spencer brings extensive experience developed through more than 10 years of coaching. Originally a catcher, he has served in multiple leadership roles, including Director and Head Coach for Chester Valley Little League.
